DR. JEFFREY OLSEN currently serves as the President of Nightingale College, after previously holding the position of Vice President of Learner Experience and Provost at Nightingale College. He has more than 20 years of educational experience, in a variety of public, private, for-profit, or not-for-profit, corporate, and healthcare settings in both classroom and administrative capacities. His dissertation was a phenomenological study of teacher orientation to the subject of social studies and the perception/application and use of technology aligned to that orientation.
Dr. Olsen holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Brigham Young University, a master’s degree in secondary social studies education from Pacific Lutheran University, a master’s degree in instructional design and technology from Western Illinois University, and a doctorate degree in instructional technology and learning sciences from Utah State University.
